I watched “Andai Aku Menjadi” today on one of indonesia’s private channel. This program shows us another living or another job in indonesia that is totally different with living in a big city like Jakarta. An uptown girl live in an-not-wealthy-family’s house for a while as its daughter. She must work or do anything as if she was the real member of the family.
Today’s about being an eel catcher. I saw the dad and the girl came to a river to catch eels. They came in the morning until afternoon and only got around 8 big eels. Then they sold those eels for Rp 4000! just Rp 4000!! that’s the price for waiting so long underneath the shining sun all day long! Masya Allah… Then they bought cassavas for Rp 3000! I couldn’t understand why did he barter those eels with cassavas??? In fact, eels are so expensive in Sushi tei (not mention the kind of eel, i know, but helloooo??) besides, eels are so much more nutrisious then those cassavas.
The problems are complicated but the main thing is about education. The lack of knowlage brings a severe of unfortunate life, it’s pathetic and miserable. How I wish every kid had a same chance to have a better education.
It’s a lightning bolt moment for me, knowing how precious Rp 4000 for a family. I’m so grateful for what I have, who i am, and where i am. I know that I have done nothing for them, but I won’t stop praying and someday, I hope I have a chance to do something to make a better living, insya Allah..

sering bete liat orang2 nulis blognya pake bahasa inggris, karena butuh effort lebih buat ngerti, hehe… maklum, rada lemah ni bahasa inggrisnya ^^’
OTT deh. anyway (tapi tetep maksa pake bahasa inggris…), sebagai orang pintar (bukan paranormal!), kitalah yang seharusnya bisa mengarahkan orang2 yang ‘unfortunately not educated enough’ supaya tau sebesar apa sih sebenernya hak mereka sebagai manusia.
mungkin dari hal yang sederhana kayak ngasih makanan buat pengemis daripada ngasih uang buat mereka (yang uang itu enath bisa jadi rokok lah, atau sesuatu yang ternyata gak membawa manfaat)

SPEEDY akhir2 ini makin jongkok IQ-nya!!! lemot gitu maksudnya ^^’ mungkin karena daerah JABODETABEK lagi dapet promosi gratisan jam20.00 sampe jam08.00 jadinya setiap ngenet malem2 serasa lama nian… bandung jadi korban!!!!
di rumah pasang SPEEDY yang 1Gig bayar 120ribu. rasanya sedikit banget, tiba2 quota dah menipis ^^’ tapi alhamdulillah lah, daripada nggak ada, hehe… lagian juga klo gak puas ngenet di rumah bisa kabur ke kampus. mabok, mabok deh tu ngenet sampe puasss!!!!
